Siam Beach Resort ★★★

Great location. It's the best beach on Koh Chang. The room was spacious. Breakfast was excellent.

This hotel's best days are behind it. But what is needed the most is a man with a bucket of paint and a brush. They started renovation so it seems that it will be better soon. There aren't any lawn chairs. You sit on sand or bring your own chairs. It's a shame. There are aggressive monkeys visiting the resort even trying to get into rooms. Staff is fighting those monkeys with sticks and airguns which raises some excitement among guests.

Quiet and staff were helpful and friendly. Swimming pool was nice and food was very good and we had dinner there most nights. Breakfast was good too

Part of the resort was looking old. We booked it as the photos on booking.com were wonderful are looked new but in reality photos must of been years ago. We got moved into the other side of the resort where the room were lovely

Very good stay. From bed into the ocean in 30 seconds. The room we stayed in needed some work but they are doing full maintenance on all their rooms. There is no hinder of sound. The room is large. Bathroom is reasonably. Extended total till 4 nights as the space was pleasant to stay at. Restaurant food is good. Breakdown above expectations when there's a buffet. All in all a wonderful stay.

beach is incredible, food is delicious and all the stuff is frienly and helpfull

i love this hotel since 2015. Its getting pretty well through difficulties of covid times. they constantly work on renovating and really care their customer's needs

Big room with lot of space and privacy. Nice beach view and own beach. Breakfast and hotel restaurant was good and reasonable.

The room condition was pretty bad. All of facilities were deteriorated. Our pool water was so full of clorium that it was unswimmable. Bath tub wasnt working as it should.

The monkey dangerous & Bed squeaky , also bathroom shower tap not fixed or holder available. My wife cut her foot on loose pool tile at bottom of pool

Unfortunately where to start. The room looked half built no tiles on the few stairs up the room and the side windows were filthy. The room front side to the beach was all glass windows and slide door which would be awesome if it had a light curtain for privacy but still allowing visibility and the light coming through but It only had heavy duty curtains which darkened the room. so it was either anyone on the beach could potentially see you dressing up for example or pitch black. The mattress was too hard on our bones causing us pain in the back. The WC was small and had a difficult to use folded panel door not closing properly unless you were inside locking it. the same with the shower. the sink was open plan with the room. That was leaving noise, light and drain smell affecting your hours in the room. The balcony had a heavy wooden dinner table and two very heavy dinner chairs. Very uncomfortable to sit and relax enjoying the view and the beach. The hotel didn’t provide any sunbeds. You could only rely on your bath towels to lie on the sand which was a killer -again- for our middle aged backs. In the end I asked for at least two bean bags from the bar and they agreed. The facilities were unfinished it was uncared for and looked like it lacked management. It’s really sad because it is a privileged place on a beautiful beach. But they cannot just rely on that to charge like a 4star hotel.

The resort after Covid is now getting back to normal, on the beach in good breakfast and quiet

Monkeys whilst cute are a menace

Really nice place on one of the best beaches on the island. The rooms were very large and comfortable but needs refurbishment. Our bungalow was 15 m from the water. Overall a very nice stay to a good price. We also had a wonderful NY Eve party at the resort to an surprisingly low price tag. Strongly recommend this resort.

The rooms need refurbishment but are OK. No beach activities available at the resort.

The beach of this resort is really great. White sand and clear water.

Even though the staff did try very hard to make our stay good after an issue at check in, which we appreciate a lot. The room was quite old and the facilities itself were quite outdated. It is not a bad place but definitely not worth the steep price.

The location was great, close to everything, with a beautiful beach and nice swimming pool. Room was nice, I loved the view. The staff was great and the food was super delicious.

The only thing I didn't like was the shower, it's not done yet.

The pictures of the rooms are out of date. The finish in the rooms is tatty and they need a lick of paint and various tiles and bits need replacing. The food was OK. Breakfasts were nice.

I like the pool and the beach. Rooms are clean but balcony do dirty but that would be from the weather.

Around the building is dirty and doesn’t look nice like I have been before. And I hate the big gecko if it outside is fine but it’s inside the room and bathroom, freaked me out for two nights !! I am so disappointed with breakfast as well, breakfast not ok and flies everywhere. Beach is nice and clean staff are friendly.

Place desperately needs maintenance not like pics. Rats in the ceiling at night. Most staff not friendly. B building has bad view of old shack building. Sewer smell in the bathroom. Mildew on one bed pillow. Huge gaps between laminate floorboards.

Nothing food not good When I first arrived I was put in corner of hotel full of overgrown trees no view which I asked for sea view

The only one of the staff on reception that is any good is the ladyboy who is there he is very very good and try’s to do everything he can to help the rest are a waste of time not interested in uk people

Room at the corner can’t see anything charge cost 2000 thb But not worth it. Ask to change range staff ask more 800 thb. Breakfast very less item and when go everything finish no glasses light gone.

Nice beach

The receptionist impolite , act like resort owner all time and didn’t respect customer. Too old room and cheap breakfast. Charge 2% for credit card here. I love to pay everything to charge but please SERVICE MINDE!!!.

The property is rather poorly maintained. As if it was buit 20 years ago and run without any additional expense.

The property is not looked after. It is clear for the eyes that the philosophy of the management is to optimize the income with close to zero maintenance. I overheard a conversation at the reception: Guest: Kayak, please. Staff: Finished. Broke. Have to wait 3 hour other kayak come back. Actually, there laid ruefully 2 kayaks in the sand seemingly after suffering a shipwreck. The decoration pools were empty, without water. No deck chairs on the beach.

pool was a good size and locations but the design was odd and not the safest, absolutely fine with adult supervision. sea is great for older children and adults as it drops of more quickly than other shallow beaches on the island (not too steep but more)

We had an issue with the air con not working properly and a leak from the balcony above, the manager was useless bless him. In the end we sorted out the issues but had to spend time when he should have.
